In this review, I will be covering HomeJobStop.com, and I will show you the features inside the member's area to determine if it is a scam or legit.

I will also tell you if I think it is worth the money for potential job seekers who are searching for freelancing work.

I will have to warn you in advance that this is a glowing review, and I am a little embarrassed, as I read through it before publishing.

I will return to my cynical and sarcastic self for the next review I am sure, but it was just a pleasure to find a genuinely honest and useful product for once to review.

My Rating:
Worth a look! If you are looking for a new job then this could be for you!

At First Glance

At first glance, the homepage of Home Job seems almost outdated and low quality. Imagine my surprise to be proved completely wrong in this case. I am genuinely happy about this as most ClickBank products are a complete waste of time and money.

Once I had paid for my membership and logged in, I was greeted by an attractive looking members area with a whole host of job sectors to browse through;

homejobstop-com-membership-area-is-it-a-scam

There are twelve sections of different job types, and when I started to click on them, they were bursting with up to date jobs. Much more detailed than I had imagined.

When I first joined I believed HomeJobStop would be riddled with "cheap" and short term jobs but no, these jobs are real professional jobs with real wages. Take a look at some of these titles - these are just a FEW!

  • Web Developer
  • Translator
  • Platform Software Engineer
  • Digital Designer

  • Fullstack Web Developer
  • Underwriter
  • Business Development Rep
  • Educational Sales Consultant
  • FMTC Data Entry
  • Reporting Assistant
  • Senior Project Manager
  • Illustrator

I clicked around all the categories, and I counted about 1,000 different jobs posted at the time of this review. All of which were published recently - a lot on this same day.

I must admit at this point that I am very impressed. I was not expecting such high quality job listings here.

Who Is Home Job Stop For

Home Job Stop is for professionals who are looking for work in the United States. As far as I can see this is limited to U.S only. There is a mixed bag of work from home jobs and on the site jobs.

This membership job board website is a fantastic place for an out of work professional to find a new job due to the volume of jobs in every sector - even more so in the computer based jobs.

Be ready to put together an extensive application, by the looks of the requirements for most of these jobs they really do want professionals, not like the mediocre job listings you see on Fiverr and iWriter.

What I Liked

  • Sign up process is super easy, no need to fill out long forms or load up a CV.
  • All the information about the jobs are right there with the link to the employers website.
  • There are no hidden costs or a higher level membership area. What you see is what you get!
  • There are no adverts on the website.
  • The price is fantastic, at $18 this is a bargain!

What I didn't Like

This is very rare for me to say but honestly, I can't find any faults with Home Job Stop. Seriously!

I am usually quite cynical when it comes to ClickBank products, as you can see from my other reviews. However, this one has got to be the most transparent, modest yet simple recruitment agent I have ever come across.

The only thing I do not like are all the bad reviews this service has got in Google. I did some research before I wrote this review and there are a lot of complaints about outdated job listings and the website being down for extended periods of time. I did not experience any of these issues during my research on this site.

Why Are There So Many Negative Reviews?

Personally, I think there are a lot of negative reviews about this service because people are expecting low qualification jobs - even though it says quite clearly on the homepage what types of jobs will be listed.

I feel that the majority of the bad reviews are from people who are expecting simple jobs like on Fiverr.com or Social Media jobs where you do simple tasks for money.

I read quite a few of the negative comments about HomeJobStop, and my opinion is these people were expecting simple, work from home jobs, which anyone could do. When they were met with high qualification jobs, they got spooked and ran for the hills.

I must admit I was expecting much the same, and I was just as surprised when I saw the great depth and skill requirements for these job listings.

Homejobstop.com Telecommuting Resource for Work at Home Jobs

Is Home Job Stop Worth the Money

Are you an unemployed professional looking for a job, then YES, I would say it would be worth your while to sign up. Considering the price of the membership is the cost of a few beers in a bar, you have no right to complain. They should charge more as far as I am concerned.

Is it A Scam?

I can say with a hand on my heart that HomeJobStop.com is not a scam. I had seen, on other reviews, that some of the job listings were a bit old but when I joined there were far too many to choose from in all categories. They were all up to date and had current and relevant information within the listings.

I am still a little bit shocked because this is one of my very few positive reviews, ever! Apart from the only way I recommend making money online, I have not given a positive report about many services or products - especially from ClickBank.

I hope you found this blog post useful, and if you have any personal experiences with HomeJobStop.com, then please do leave a comment below! I would love to hear from other people about this job board website.

  1. Nice article. This is the first time I’ve heard of this website. So from what I gather, this is a site for people looking for employment right? From you’ve review, it looks like a good place to find a job, but with websites like Monster, why would I want to pay a fee to look for a job?

    1. Hi Andres,

Monster is certainly a great place to look for a job as well. However, Home Job Stop is almost exclusively for jobs you can do from a “remote” location, as well as office based.

From what I have seen I get the feeling that HomeJobStop.com makes more effort in filtering the jobs. There are only high quality jobs in their listings. Whereas Monster has anything and everything.

Also, if I were to compare a bit further. Monster is a commercial mammoth which lists a large amount of jobs for large coorporations and chain stores. HomeJobStop on the other hand seems to have more of the small business side of things, as well as a few larger companies but nothing on the scale of Monster.

I feel there is a bit more of a personal touch with HomeJobStop, which I like.

      Cheers

      Philip

  2. I appreciate your honesty with this site. But it does push me away a bit that you have no negative reviews for the site. I completely understand that others may have overreacted to findings that they would not expect, but there must be some issues with the site. Otherwise, this page definitely makes me want to try out home job stop. thank you for the great information!

    1. Hi Brooke

Yep, I agree! That is why I wrote the statement at the top of my article that I was bewildered by the negative free aspect of my review. This does not happen often.

Perhaps in hindsight one negative aspect is that there are very few “normal” jobs listed. You have to be quite qualified to apply for most of the jobs.

However, they make no exaggerated claims to make you believe other wise so this would only be a negative aspect if you did not read the homepage correctly before you signed up.

  3. Hey Phillip,

It’s really great to see a product/platform get a score that’s a 100/100. I have yet to come across this site but from what you are telling it comes across as really interesting. Can this be a great way to hire staff also? For instance, can I hire marketers to promote my brand or writers to write some of my blog posts?

    1. Hi Vinnie,

Yep, as far as I can see you would be able to post a job listing for writers and marketers on HomeJobStop.com. I have no personal experience with listing jobs as an employer! Perhaps a good idea for another blog post I think.

If you do it please do come back and let me know how it went. I would love your input.

      Cheers

      Philip

  4. No negative review. Everything is so positive. How rare is that? I never heard of homejobstop. How long have they been around? And why do I have to pay a fee? Is it a one time fee or a monthly fee? I must say it looks good for the out of work professional.

    1. One off fee – lifetime membership.

You have to pay because there are no adverts within the website – which is very refreshing. Also, it is free for employers to post their listings.

HomeJobStop is a very simple yet effective platform in my opinion. They do not make any outrageous claims to fame and fortune. They list jobs of high quality and relevance – they do exactly what it says on the tin.

The website has been around for 16 years or so.

  5. Awesome review on HomeJobStop. So you mean to tell me that you do not have a single negative thing to say about this company? Well that seems to good to be true. It is hard to accept something in this nature but I take your word for it. I think this would be a good opportunity.

  6. Cant see the title!
Great way to make more money online and i may use it, only problem is that im in the uk.
definitely checking out some of your other ways to make money online, easy ways only, cos avoiding work is the goal here lol. nice use of affiliate websites like wa, cool, enjoyed looking at your site and definitely going into my bookmarks

  7. Phillip,
From a professional stand point this is a great place to find work from home or in an office. Looks like you will have to do some research for jobs, does it have a search for locations for the jobs that require or have a location to work at. Does it have any help in writing an application or resume.
I can only think that you are correct that the negative reviews are people looking for something that is easy.
    John

    1. John,

Yes, you can search by state and also by job title.

I do not believe they provide any resume tips! Could this be the first negative thing that we have found?

They just provide the link to the employers application page and from memory I do not think there was any help with applications. I may need to update my post with this new information, unless someone can confirm this information.

Thanks for the input. Much appreciated.

      Philip

  8. I like your review here, I am sad to say however that I am not from the US, do you know if there are any other worthwhile work from home job sites that cater for people who are from other countries, ie Australia. I always get excited when I start reading these things only to find out they are not available to me here! Perhaps one day Australia will catch up.

    1. Unfortunately, I do not know of any Australian based websites like Home Job Stop.

If you ever find one then please do let me know! 🙂

  9. Hi Philip, thanks for the honest review, and it’s good to hear such a positive opinion. People seem to “falsely” write negative reviews using two reasons (1) you have to pay to find a job and (2) US only. I think paying $18 is reasonable, and it’s a good way for the jobseekers to show commitment. I wonder if they take money/commission from the registered employers too? It’s good to know there’s a place like this. Thanks!

  10. Great Review! Is there a way to filter to only show remote job offerings? I wonder how they stay afloat with no ads and a one time fee. Very interesting concept, it appears their edge is in keeping the postings current along with the level of detail they provide. Sounds like a great concept for someone looking to telecommute.

    1. I think that almost all the job listings are remote. They all give the option to work remotely or in the office – or both!

I think the ones that are office only are extremely specialized but 90% of the listings are all remote jobs, if you choose so.

  11. Hi Philip, thanks for the great review. I am still a bit skeptical about homejobstop. I always thought that we should never pay to look for a job, are these positions restricted to those who buy the service? Or we can find these positions available for free in another website?
    Thanks for your help

    1. I think you are paying a small fee simply for the quality of the job postings – also because they are all work from home jobs.

Sure, you can use places like Monster for example but there you have every job imaginable. You have to filter and sift through a lot of low quality jobs.

With Home Job Stop you only get jobs relevant to the work from home sector and they are all high quality jobs. Obviously if you are looking for a bartender job or a delivery driver job then you will have to use a mainstream search engine.

I paid $18, which isn’t exactly naked profiteering. I would happily pay that if I knew I was going to find something that was right for me.

  12. (love the title of this site by the way!) 😉
Well the website seems like an awesome place to find some work and make money but I was really disappointed to see it is only in the US. Maybe they’ll branch out into native English speaking countries if they see a bit of success in the US? Great review!

  13. Very interesting blog about HomeJobStop It looks like it is legit site and price is not too bad at all,but I don’t like that it is only for people who live in United States of America. OVERALL, I agree with you that this website is not a scam. Great review and I hope people will recognize that this is legit website where they can earn money.

  14. Hey Philip, I have one question … what if I were to purchase this product? I’m Canadian, so does the product owner warn potential buyers that you MUST be living in the United States? If not, I would be greatly disappointed had I been a recently unemployed Canadian professional who came across their product. Even knowing I could receive a refund, not being told BEFORE purchasing would have disappointed me BIG TIME.

    1. Hi Trish!

I will look into this for you. Previously I have said that the jobs are only available in the US – which they are.

However, as the jobs are mostly remote there is no reason why you can’t do them from any country – other than tax reasons.

I will dig into this for you and find an official response.

Will get back to you ASAP.

      Philip

  15. Hey Philip, very interesting article on Home Job Stop. It’s really nice to see a product get a 100% review. Since there are so many scams online, it is great to have a place where you can apply for a legitimate job. I am a little disappointed that this product is not available to Canadians … hopefully something they may do in the future. 🙂

    Cheers,
    Tej

  16. Hello,

First of, I would like to thank you for taking time and writing in-depth review of the site. Thanks it’s really helpful for people like us who are searching for job opportunities from home 🙂

Secondly, I want to know which type of jobs are there under ‘Writers’ section. As it says “Reviewers” and “Creative Writers” under the heading. Does they have good listings under these sections too? And if they do Can you please add a screenshot of types of jobs they have under these sections?

    1. Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to comment.

Unfortunately, I am no longer a member as I was only a member in order to write the review. Sorry!

However, I do remember that there were ample job listings under both the Reviewers and Creative Writers sections.

      I hope this helps! Cheers

  17. Hi,

Seems like a legitimate program. I wasn’t sure if it would be worth spending any money on a membership here but you make it seem like a good option for me.

I’ve tried a few other job listing websites like Jobrize and Be The Boss Network but both of those just turned out to be flops. They were full of people trying to promote MLM and scammy opportunities.

I’m glad that Homejobstop is actually reliable.

    Thanks,
    Robert

  18. Hi sir,
Initially at reading the headline in your review of the homejobstop site, I thought that you would have surmised that it was a complete scam.

However reading your review you came to the very same conclusion that I did months ago. Homejobstop provides all that it states regarding helping people secure freelance online jobs. I once even was able to get a job myself through the site years ago.

In comparing this site to Rat Race Rebellion the only thing that I wish could happen was the membership be at the free level. True the $18 promo is great drop-off from the original $59 one-time fee for membership. Again that competing site is completely free. And Rat Race Rebellion essentially does the same thing as Homejob. They provide LEADS to legit jobs. It then would be up to you to contact the employer, set up an interview, forward your resume to see if you’re a “fit” for the job and so on. Neither site provides an actual job for you.

Really any negative reviews come from people who don’t take the time to READ the type of jobs being offered. Most jobs do require some type of education of experience. Why people somehow don’t understand this, even though each specific job clearly lists the qualifications makes no sense. However some human beings will look for anything just to slam whatever comes across their path.

Great review as Homejob does provide opportunities for freelancers according to their abilities and experience in a number of areas! It’s a lot better compared to other sites that I’m aware of which have been proven to be scams.

    Jeff

  19. Hi,

I love your domain name. – I just thought I’d say, I wish I had been somewhat more creative when I came up with mine. Still, I can always build another one.

Anyway, this looks like something worth trying out, unfortunately, I think you say that is USA only. Do you know if there is a UK version?

I’m always shocked when I find something I can write a positive review about too, I totally get your surprise with how it turned out. It makes a refreshing change.

  20. Hey Philip,

This is a wonderful review of HomeJobStop. Actually, I didn’t think it was this good. I found about it today and thought it’d be best if I knew whether it was legit. Sadly enough, I came to learn that it works only for the United States folks.

Isn’t there any way I can get a job from it? And do you have any other place you can suggest for me to get a good job with some freedom?

I’ve been struggling to get one for months.
